In 2019, I set a goal to launch my memoir in July 2020. As most of you are aware, Deferred Genius, launched over ZOOM on July 7th. Typically, this event would have been held in a elegant setting replete with hor d’oeuvres, canapes and cocktails. The pandemic put the kibosh on my plans.
The virtual book reading sessions have allowed us to gather and delve into the chapters. I’ve received wonderful feedback on the coachable moments. I’m grateful for your support and feedback.
On December 5th, I’m hosting a holiday book reading for two chapters from my memoir. I will read, ‘The Christmas Tree’ and ‘Christmas Eve’. You’ll be treated to a humorous saga about my annual trip to the Christmas tree farm with my young son and a friend.
We’ll close with a descriptive story of preparing the Christmas Eve meal for my family. This is something we’re all longing to do this season. Come prepared to share your favorite holiday moment. Register on the website at www.beaclarkbooks.com or click here Holiday Book Reading to obtain the ZOOM link.
This time of year, we miss our gatherings with family and networking with business partners, clients and co-workers. This is my effort to ease that longing to mingle. Bring the children and a guest
Did I mention, all participants will receive a special holiday gift from me?
Many people in my circle have lost jobs and business income, are grieving loved ones due to COVID-19 or are simply overwhelmed by the pandemic demands. I’ve had numerous conversations in which family friends and clients who lament having to work from home, run home schools, are confined to home and sanitize practically everything to stay safe.
I hope the stories I read will help you get in the holiday spirit and you’re inspired to create a cozy, festive experience with your loved ones. As for my family and me, we’ll shelter-in-place and make the best of what this unique 2020 holiday season offers.
Wishing you Hope for the Holidays!
P.S. Here’s an interesting news on tree sales in Georgia. Enjoy the tead.
